What gets collected

I use Vercel Web Analytics to see how the site is used. It doesn’t set cookies and only gives me aggregate numbers: page views, the country, device and browser type, and the page that referred you.

On top of that, a few anonymous events tell me which parts are useful: which outbound link you click (like the résumé or LinkedIn), when you press play on a demo, how far down the page you scroll, and which sections you reach. None of these identify you.

Vercel hosts the site, so like any web server it processes your IP address to deliver the pages.

Demo videos

The video thumbnails are served from this site. A demo only loads from YouTube (the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player) after you press play, and from then on YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that video.

If you email me

Your message and address are used only to reply to you. They aren’t added to any list or shared with anyone.

Your rights

The legal basis for the analytics above is my legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the site are useful. You can ask what I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing ishan@bloortech.com. If you’re in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, which in the UK is the ICO.
